Default Problems with my turn signal lights.

When my lights are off and I use my left turn signal my left and right turn signal lights blink, both front and rear. When I use my right turn signal only the right one blinks. Now if I turn my lights on then there is no issue, everything works normally. I thought it might be that trailer light outlet, so I unplugged it and still same problem. If anyone could help me that would be awesome. thanks

Sounds like a bad flasher relay or maybe the multifunction switch.

Most likely the turn signal switch is bad. Multiplexed switches are known to do weird stuff when they go bad.

Im not really positive on this...but i would go with Randy on this one. I was going to say the flasher relay.

Hemiv8dodgeram1500 what did you do to fix this?? My flashers are no where near that bad but I find it weird that if I turn my lights on the problem vanishes. Could it still be the mulifunction switch and if so is it hard to replace??? Thanks guys for the quick response.

It should be noted that only the lights outside (blinkers) are the ones that are both blinking not on the inside of the truck. I actually did not know this was going on till the wife was drivin the truck and someone told her about it. I would really like to fix this if anyone has a clue please help. thanks in advance.
