I had the same issue and it must be quite a common occurrence as many others have posted the same issue with different solutions. I followed someone's post that said to look at the 4 pin trailer connector. I was skeptical but after looking at my connector and seeing how badly corroded it was and seeing that it actually fixed the issue, I am not so skeptical anymore. Just an idea and a new plug is a cheap repair. Best of luck.
