Be sure to keep us posted on the exhaust mod, looking at a couple ideas myself!

First post- I pulled both the stock airbox and the second middle box and replaced them with a larger Spectre blue filter and a piece of 4" black drain pipe which I found in the back yard. I bought a larger diameter piece of pipe and some matching blue metallic paint at Home Depo which I have yet to mount.

It sounds better and seems a little stronger at all rpms. It mounts straight in front of the throttle body with the filter in between the radiator and the hood.

Six Gun,

Great looking pics and custom CAI!

I am attempting to build my own CAI as well. I bought a K/N Cone Filter today and some PVC Piping and Couplers. I have my own rudimentary measurements and design mapped out but could you give me a break down of your system. Did you remove the entire old Intake system and what how did you connect the vacuum hose? Did you drill a new hole? Also, do you have any issues with the PVC weight, considering its only the 90 deg. elbow, i doubt it. I have 2' PVC 3" pipe that I cut for a straighter pipe but I'm afraid this will be too heavy, especially if I hit any bumps. Finally, what did you use to connect the filter to the piping? I have a 3" toilet flange that matches the back-end of the K/N filter and the PVC piping. I would appreciate any other replies and posts as well.

Thanks,

Omar
