Default Just purchased my first ram

Hey everyone I have just purchased my first ram truck and I'm very happy with it (going from a 1.7L Honda Civic to a 4.7L V8!). Now I have been reading the forums and watching youtube and was curious as to where to begin, what everyone elses preferences were on, and what to do first. Some say chip others say exhaust, any thoughts? Thanks everyone!

Welcome! Glad to have you here! What year is your truck? 2-dr or 4-dr? Maybe posting some specs will help produce some quality answers.

Congrats, that's a beautiful truck to own. Were you looking for performance mods, help with fuel economy, and/or exterior appearance.

hmm all of the above? Haha but I do want to start with performance first because I think the truck looks great for now.

Okay, I have an 07 4.7L and I got the Superchips Cortex Programmer. It's awesome, I love how easy it is to change your tune. On mine you have the option of Mileage XS Fuel Saver, 87 Octane, Performance tune, Towing Mode, and back to stock. I would also recommend some type of air intake, I went with the AEM Brute Force Cooled Air Intake. And to complete the trio, adding a nice exhaust will help your Ram breathe so much easier. I went with Magnaflow for a couple reasons. One, because I love the sound, and second Flowmasters have been known to rot out and my Magnaflow came with a lifetime warranty vs. the 3-year I would have got with Flowmaster. There are a lot of nice exhaust systems out there. It's really is up to you how loud you want your truck. There are a lot more mods, but those are the big 3 in my opinion.

Sweet your setup sounds awesome and that's also how i want to start as well chip, intake, and last exhaust. Im not to familiar on the different brands of modifications or where to buy them, any ideas? Online/Offline what kind of $$ I can look to be spending?
