Default Which Antifreeze Coolant To Use

Hello everyone I just flushed my radiator and of course the dirt that was blocking a hole got flushed out and now my radiator leaks.
If I get this one fixed or buy a new one which antifreeze coolant should I use?
I know alot of people like to use the Mopar HOAT for their 5.7 Hemi's but what about my 5.9 Magnum?
Is Dexcool as bad as people say?
The owners manual doesnt say anything specific to use it just says to use a high quality ethylene glycol-base coolant and not to use plain water or alcohol based products.

I still use the regular green antifreeze with distilled water as my mixer instead of tap water .

I'm a Prestone guy as well; but I buy the concentrated and do my own mix for our colder winter (i do a 70/30 mix for winter). Make sure you use the distilled water since the mineral content in tap/well water will build up in the rad.

As stated in your opening statement use ethylene glycol base, and like the folks mentioned above if you are going to mix it your self make sure you use distilled water.

Radiator shop should be able to rod it out and repair it for under $100. Doubt you can get a new one for that. Getting ready to flush mine out, hope your problem isn't contagious!

IF you do decide to purchase another radiator, there are other things to consider
do you do any towing, do you live when it gets hot, (like the desert), you may want to get a heavy duty radiator, standard radiators used to be 2 core, heavy duty is usually 3 core, much thicker, more coolant capacity
ask a radiator shop if it needs replacing & then ask for suggestions

I dont do any heavy duty towing or anything like that, so I ended up buying a new radiator from O O O O'reilly's. It is a Proliance and it came with a lifetime warranty.
I will still probably take my stock one in to see how much it'll cost to get fixed and sell it to a friend.
Installed the radiator today and filled it up with good old Prestone.

Thanks Alot!
