Default Volant CAI

I'm looking at purchasing a Volant CAI for my 2010 Ram1500 5.7L, but have one question about its design. It's hard to tell in the pictures how well the lower air inlet seals to the factory fender air inlet. I like the idea of the Volant intake being completely sealed from hot engine air but it doesn't look like it seals as well as the Airaid to the fender inlet. If anyone has a Volant, or better yet an installed pic, it would be great. Thanks.

I have a 05 Hemi and have a Volant CAI, I have friends that have Volant and other brand CAI's, Volant is a bit pricey but you get what you pay for, fit & finish are excellent, sound is amazing, my 05 CAI has 2- 3" holes towards the fender along with a downward facing intake tube that feed the dry element filter. I would rate Volant 5/5 STARS. I'm sure what ever CAI you select it will only improve your engines performace, good luck

Not sure about this particular application but I've had 3 Volant systems on different vehicles over the years and they all fit well, sealing where they are supposed to.

I too rate the Volant units very highly.
