Default Installing set of foglamps for my 05' Ram?

Guys,
Just purchased an 05' Dodge Ram 1500 SLT truck. It has the cut outs for the
oem foglamps in the bumper. I purchased a set of oem mopar dodge foggies
for it the other day. How many of you installed these lights on your trucks?
And how difficult was it ? I'm not too techy, so I'm thinking of having my mechanic install these correctly for me.

Thanks for any info,

Troy

Well if you are like me and cant really do it yourself than go to your local shop. Your going to have to do some wiring if it did not come with fogs. Myself i wiould go to my local shop, I have a good buddy that does it all for me spoo its easy haha.

Goodluck man! I hope everything goes well!

Before you go to the shop, understand all you really need to do is mount the foglight cans in the bumper opening, located your harness, plug in the bulbs, then the harness and finally, remove your stock headlight switch and install the Mopar combination switch.

Then, you'll need to go to the dealer to have your truckputer flashed for foglight operation.

Not hard at all.

Here's the write up I did for the OEM fog install I did on my '07 which is the same as the '05s. This was a very straight forward install and takes little know how since the instructions were very detailed.

CDNOILRam: Nice 'how-to" write up on how to install those foggies. From the looks of everything, It doesn't look that bad of a job. Believe me I'm no techie at all, but if I have a very clear instruction sheet w/pics , I might be able to pull this off by myself. I have a friend who had a Dodge Dakota whose very familiar with the truck so he might be able to lend me a hand as well.
Question: The way you hook these up, are you able to turn on the foglights with just the park lights on or.......... will they only come on with the headlights engaged?

Thanks!

The stock foglight program flash will allow you to run the foglights with the parking lights on. You don't need to have the headlights on.

Also understand that if you have the fogs on and flash on your high beams, the fogs will go off until you return to low beam operation.

Thanks Maddog! I'm a little confused on the part in the instructions where it says to splice into the low beam wire etc etc.. anyway, someone can clarify that a little better or provide an exact pic of what wire to tap into?
