Default Exhaust

I sold the stacks. I took plenty of pics and another video. Oh well got more than my money back and want to run some $150 stainless headers from ebay, new y-pipe, high flow cat and some sort of something besides straight pipe. I was told to just run a Magnaflow reinator that they sound nice. Hpw deeper will my tone be jumping up to a 3" or even a 4"?Anybody run a diesel exhaust(4" or up) on their gas? This guy came over and he was running a 3" Banks gas exhaust on his older 5.9 and you wouldn't know what it was if you didn't see it. If I wasn't looking at it when he was revving it up I wouldn't of thought of a Ram. Sounded sick. I seen a 4" diesel Banks setup for real cheap? I want a "different" sound that makes someone wonder before they see it but want it to sound good. If I could ever achieve the "Mustang"(4.6-5.0) Flowmaster sound I would in a heartbeat. So far I have had all stock manifolds and stock cats, 2.5" single exit or duals and 3.5" tips- Flowmaster 40 series, Flowmaster 10 series, Dynomax Super Turbo, Dynomax Welded, Turbo Thrush, Magnaflow (14"or15" case). Can I get some more ideas, I have some extra to spend but not going crazy. The only thing that really caught my ear in the video section was that Hemi with that side exit Magnaflow that sounded sick but I think he said there was other stuff done to it. I also was told to run a hollow tank/small drum welded shut as a muffler. That the sound it creates is very unique, but never heard it. Would a cross-flow (Camaro style) muffler sound different because of less pipe? What about running a straight throught tuner pipe before each tip? Give me you ideas.

I can get my hands on some real nice 4" dual exhaust kits for fairly cheap. Anybody run a 4" yet?

Gotta be careful with big exhaust like that 4". Don't wanna lose too much backpressure. If you do that, your low end will suffer badly.

Got a 4" bully dog catback dual out behhind each tire. I just ran a 5" with no muffler and yes I did lose alot of low end. I took it off and really noticed. I'll see about this kit, if not I know someone who will buy it off me. I also bought a superchip flashpaq from freezinbelow which says mid 50's ft/lb torque, just waiting on it.

The 91 tune is great off that Superchips. I can't afford to run it all the time, but I ran 2 tanks of it right after I got it, really makes the 360 a different animal. Low end I kept up with a Hemi!! But it had a snowmobile in the bed.... But seriously, it makes your Ram even more of a pleasure to drive, if that is even possible.

I would be careful if you go to big you will lose backpressure and also power. I would stick with a 3" exhauts. If you want to go crazy loud then look at the Gibson Super Truck Series exhaust. It exits before the passenger rear tire. Sounds wicked!

I did, those are pricey, love the dual tips! Got this 4" for real cheap, almost too good and it's new. We'll see.

Well if you found a killer deal then why not? haha. Well I also have a deal, I have a Gibson cat back system for sale, it is cheap as well. Only thing is it fits a Mega Cab, so its a little long haha. Let me know if you want to try it out and cut it to size

A nice pair of 2.5" dual exhaust would suit you just fine .

I had a mandrel bent 2.5" dual setup, I like the rumble but the high pitch slap is wearing off. I want a nice loud deep rumble. I want it to sound like it handles the truck not the truck over powering the exhaust like it's forcing the air out. If this kit isn't good maybe I'll run another 10 series with 3". The only thing is 2.5" is so easy to come around.
