Default Newbie with a tailgate issue

Hi everybody,

Glad to be apart of the forum. Love my 2009 Hemi Ram 1500.

So the other day I had to get in the bed of the truck and when I stepped on the edge of the tailgate to get out I got to witness my tailgate spoiler fly off and hit the ground... not cool.

Very cheap integrated plastic molded clips keep that thing on.

Today I passed another 09 or 10 Ram and noticed his tailgate spoiler was missing as well?

is anyone else experiencing this issue?

Thanks

Hello and welcome, I think I remember reading somebody else had a similar problem with their tailgate cover. You will most likely find help here.

Welcome to the site and sorry about that spoiler issue. I've seen a few here that were cracked and broken as well.

Hello and welcome!

Glad you joined us! Sorry to hear about your spoiler, that would make me mad too! Dodge builds such great trucks but drops the ball on plastic parts not being secure...NOT cool!
I hope you enjoy the board!

I don't know how long ago that you bought your ram, but 1 of the first things that Dodge Rams at the dealerships received a fix on was the lousy plastic piece on the top of the tailgate
