I was getting around 14.5 to 15.5 city, driving not like a grandma but also not racing stop light to stop light. I dropped in a K&N and now get 15.5 to 16.5 city, driving the same way as before or 14.5 to 15.5 with a heavier foot. As for HWY, I have gotten 21+ consistently not hauling anything, doing about 75. Don't know since the K&N, no long trip yet, but would figure to see some gains there also. I have 4WD, but I have a QC not CC which I would think helps out too.

I don't think I've seen 15mpgs since last summer. I'm generally getting in the 9-12 range (mainly in the city) =/

I have the quad cab, 4x4, with 3.55 rear end and have never gotten over 15.1 on the hyw. If I am pulling my 12' trailer with two atv's it drops down to about 10mpg. Not good.

The rain finally took care of all the snow over here. I'm relieved to say the least!

Never believe commercials or window stickers when it comes to MPG. Plus remember that a lot of things affect your MPG. You gotta baby the accelerator, use cruise control, keep the truck light, reduce A/C use, keep tires at maximum inflation, maintain your vehicle, and don't crush that gas pedal to hear that sweet HEMI.

Thumbs down

I agree, keep the truck in good shape and pick your time and place for a heavy foot! Do that and you can get decent MPG in these trucks. I have no problem taking my foot off the gas on a hill and letting the MDS kick in and level out my MPG's from the times when my foot gets heavy passing Priuses and Minivans!!! This time of year (in Dallas) is perfect. Cooler air and nice clean roads can get your MPGs up there.

Dad went to a Dallas Mavericks ball game the other night. Said he got 22.something going 65 on the way back. Guess it loved that cool air!
