Default What to pay 2009 Ram Hemi?

Local dodge dealer has a new 2009 Ram Hemi 1500 4x4 TRX model, options off the top of my head are:

Trx
Quad cab
Towing package
Tow hooks
3.92 gears
Limited slip rear
Cloth interior
No sun/moonroof
Pretty basic wheels and GY tires, not chrome

Sticker price is $25,999. Is this a pretty decent price to start at? Going to take it for a drive tomorrow if its not sold.

Sticker is not the best price, ever. But if it's new and carries a warranty, I'd offer them $22K and don't let them sell you all those add-on items.

My sticker on my 2009 Dodge ram 1500 4x4 Sport was almost $40,000. If by sticker you mean MSRP then that seems really low. Maybe I am misunderstanding you. I ended up paying $30,000 for mine last summer. Maybe because its left over from going on two years ago, they lowered the msrp. Good luck.

22 is a good start, what is the MSRP on that, cuase I know it is higher then 25 grand. my 2wd SLT was stickered at 34 and some change, got it for 24 and some change, in may 09.

with the 09's if you are the first owner you can even get lifetime bumper to bumper on it. see what the dealer will give it to you for, if he offers it for over 1550 with the 100 dollar deductable tell him no, (you can get it on line for that price) 2250 for the 50 dollar deductable and 2950 for the 0 dollar deductable. If they won't match those prices don't buy it from them (if you want the lifetime bumper to bumper) 2010's do not qualify for it cause they don't come with the lifetime powertrain that the 09's did.

You can get a better price than that . Just don't give in . Their there to make a sale . If your not happy with the deal don't do it . Especially at the end of the month they'll just about jump through hoops for ya .

That's a decent price, but like its been said you could easily get an additional $2500.

You guys (Americans) get excellent deals on vehicles life time warranty, lower sticker prices and better incentives . I (Canadian) didn't get the option of life time warranty. Agree with above take another $2500 off the price and don't pay for the little stuff. worse come to worse you pay full price for the truck (which looks like an excellent deal) or you walk away. the decision is yours.

By sticker price i mean what the dealer is asking for it. I never pay full price for a vehicle, ill haggle them down or walk out, simple stuff.

Just got back from the dealer, they sold the truck i was looking at. i asked if they paid sticker price and my salesguy(not that i trust what they say) said yea. So i drove a big horn model, but it didnt have the 392 gears or limited slip rear.. so im still looking.

I always look at Kelley's blue book and use it as a guide. Kelleys will give you three prices. Trade in, retail, and from an individual. You can just google Kelley's Blue book. I have used it to buy the last three vehicles. You cant trust the salesman. The more you pay, the more he gets paid. On my last vehicle I walked out and it took him a week to get back to me at my price. Good luck and get what you want.
