did the truck have a chip in it at any time? If the OBD2 can't connect that's what I'd be looking at. A dealership may have to re flash the entire system.

i dont know i baught the truck from a buddy who got it frome a buddy who got it in florida at a dealer nobody really nows the story on this thing all i know is that when it was purchased in florida it allready had podswith guages for boost, exhaust temp, and tranny temp the boost was put up to 40psi. witha 2 or 2.5 inch levling kit and a rats nest of an alarm system whitch like i said i removed after it broke down so i wouldnt be supprised if it was chipped its got tons of power and leaves a bit of a black cloud in its wake but why would it only do this a year and a half after leaving florida????im starting tothink that the computer is fried but why would the voltmeter and fuel guage go through the computer

You may want to post up the issue in the diesel forum on here, may get more response that way. I wish I could help ya, but I have no suggestions....

I agree with dodgeman, try posting it in the diesel section since not everyone keeps up with this welcome section. Hope you get your problem sorted out soon and welcome!
