glamontagne: Do the map lights turn on independently when you press one in or do you have to press both for them to turn on? I replaced my stock bulbs with LEDs and the right map light worked when pressing it but the left light only worked when the right one was on. Both worked fine if the door is open. Strange problem, I put back the factory bulbs.

Mine work independently. I haven't had any troubles with the LED's that I have gotten and I've been getting mine fairly cheap on eBay. Sounds like a definite strange problem. Which year Ram do you have?

It's a 2010 Sport. I've asked around and nobody knows what the problem could be so I went ahead and ordered the kit that you got from Ebay. Hopefully it will work fine because I have an LED dome light on and would like the matching map lights.

Let me know how it works for you. I've bought quite a few LED's from that same ebay seller. I've never had any troubles. As I've been outfitting my 09, I have a friend who has me outfitting his 2008.

The LED rectangle from Ebay came today and I installed it. Same problem during the install, the left map light only worked when the right one was on with the LEDs, but the factory bulbs worked just fine. I decided to leave the LEDs in until I can figure out a solution so I put everything back together (I had undone the black plastic from the overhead console that holds the map lenses to gain better access). When everything was back in place the LEDs worked perfectly. The only thing I could figure is that there must be a metal contact on the plastic that makes a bridge when it is properly in place, but that wouldn't explain why the factory bulbs worked fine while everything was disassembled.

The sounds pretty odd. I certainly wouldn't be surprised if it involved a grounding issue. I didn't bother taking that extra stuff apart. Anyways, I am glad to hear that you got it to work properly. How do you like them?

I love them. They are extremely bright, much more than the picture shows and considerably brighter than the factory bulbs. I just have to find a better way of securing them inside the housing because the double sided tape does not have enough surface to stick to and it already came loose.

This mod looks awsome, I'm gonna have to do this...

Anyone know where I can get LED's for the 2x map lights and the 1 "dome" light in the rear on the ceiling (I think thats what its called)?

I've been wanting to do this for a while, I have the 2006 QC and those lights are so dim they are pretty much useless, I always use a flashlight.

Anyways, if anyone knows where I can get LED's for all 3 interior lights for a 2006 Quad Cab Ram let me know!
