Red face 07 Dodge Ram 1500 Brake upgrade???

Hello there guys and gals, I want to upgrade my front brakes really bad. My truck barely passed over 60K and I have changed them twice already (ceramic) and had the rotors resurfaced and everything. They waste too quickly, im wondering if anyone has upgraded to SRT10 Front calipers and rotors, if you can give me some info on how hard it is, for example if i have to replace my master cylinder etc etc. Or if there is another alternative, please let me know i would greatly appreciate it...

I would recommend getting some SSBC brakes. They make a kit for our trucks front brake system. They actually have a few different, 3 piston and 4 piston calipers. They come with drilled and slotted brakes. I think it starts at $900 and goes to around $1300. I would double check. These would be a great upgrade to your truck!!

Also if you just want to go with some new pads and rotors look at EBC. They make pads called Greenstuff. They have premium Greenstuff pads for the front (7000) and they have drilled and slotted rotors. A few guys have em on here and they say they are really good

What year and model, oversize tires ? This sounds very excessive, your factory brakes should be heavy duty enough. Just would rather see you spend the $grand$ on fun stuff..

I've upgraded my '07s brakes with a full EBC setup. Sports slotted/dimpled rotors, green stuff rear pads, and green stuff supreme fronts. No need to upgrade the master cylinder, and the stopping power is easily twice stock. Very little dust, quiet, and can stop my quad cab on 22s very nicely. Only thing I want to do is braided brake lines for less tube expansion.

I'm looking at putting the Greenstuffs on the front and backs on my '08. I've heard nothing but good things about them so hopefully they work as well as advertised. I've got to look at my rotors, but I'm thinking I might as well throw on some of the slotted/dimpled rotors.

X2

I just put the same pads and rotors on my '03 Ram QC and after the break in period for the pads I have had virtually no brake dust at all. I am completely happy with them.

i'm a big fan of the powerslot rotors and hawk pads, thinking i might do that on the truck but if the ssbc ones are cheap enough i might do that. have to check on the cost of each

If I were to tell my wife I was going to spend $1300.00 on brakes rest assured I'd be in the hospital for at least 6 weeks due to the concussion she'd give me when I did such a crazy thing.

My rotors warped just in the last couple weeks, I think it happened after I came out of a carwash an had to hard brake while they were still wet??. Are the mopar ones I could get from the dealer (at cost) worth the money at all? I bought the truck with the brakes I have now so Im not sure what they are and would love to go the EBC route but dont have the funds now for it and I NEED brakes. Any suggestions? Thanks
