Cool Reading check engine light codes

can any tell me how to read my check engine light codes my truck is a 1996 1500 4x4 i turn the key three times and get 1 blink followed by 2,2,2,5,5 would someone lplease explain this to me. i just recently swapped my 5.2 engine and trans with 235,000 miles still running fine for a 2000 5.9 liter engine and trans didnt change the computer used all sensors fuel rail and throttle body off my 5.2 . I had to change all the trans solenoids to match my computer trans works fine. The truck runs pretty good it feels like something is holding it back. when i start the truck cold on a warm day or not it misfires and runs like crap for about 5 minute then it runs fine. plz enlighten me someone, thanks

Sounds like you have an OBDI computer. Thought they did away with those in 95. If it is a 95 computer, those codes are 2 digit.
12-Battery input to PCM disconnected during last 50 key starts.
22-Coolant temperature sensor circuit.
55-Completion of fault code display.
Don't know enough about the engine swap, but this will bump it to keep it alive.

Good luck.

The code for the ECT sensor could because the PCM isn't seeing the correct engine temp.

A stat isn't going to change what the PCM is seeing if the CTS is bad and, no, a cold engine is a cold engine regardless of what stat is in it. You need to have the CTS code properly diagnosed.
