Default Truxxx Lift and Level Kit for your 2007 Dodge Ram 1500 QuadCab 2wd

Anyone try these yet? They seem really new and I just wanted to know if they work? Do I need new longer shocks for this?

Your truck, IIRC, has front struts like the 4x4 reg cabs and quadcabs. If this is the case the spacer on the right in the picture is what you'll get. I've got them on my truck and they work like a charm. Very solid product.

To answer your question no you do not need new/longer shocks. The spacer goes on top of the housing.

I also have the spacer in my 07 and they work really well! I would take a look at Daystar they make some quality products!

How do you install this and what tools are needed. The install instructions say to use a pit jack, remove the bolts to the lower control arm, and then lower it with the springs. Is it easier to use spring compressors? I don't have a pit jack and want to do this myself.

Here are the instructions for it: http://images.autoanything.com/image...xxx_604080.pdf

It takes 3 socket sizes and an open end wrench or two IIRC. I used A hydralic delco Jack and a screw Jack. The delco wasn't tall so I had to use 5x5 under it. Just don't get in a hurry and you'll be fine. I smashes the CRAP ou of my left ring finger when the disc shifted on me.

This may sound dumb, but what is an IIRC? Do I need to compress the springs first? I have a 2WD so it may be different.

Also, should I get new shocks due t the ride getting stiffer. I was thinking of the Rancho 5000's, but don't want to spend the extra money if I don't need to.

IIRC=if I remember correctly. I was/am typing from my phone so I try to toss in a little shorthand.

The strys should be the same. Struts/shocks wear out over time about 50k they suggest you change them. My truck has 38k and needs them though.
