Right now I have the drop in from the factory. I plan on doing a Rhino liner later down the road. On my list of mods that isn't at the top of it.

You might want to go out and lift the back of your drop-in and see what your bed looks like underneath. The liner moves independently from the bed while driving and rubs the paint off. If you've got bare metal under there with trapped water it's only a matter of time before the bed starts to rust.

The good news is that the drop-in suffices for now and when you're ready to get a spray-in, the prep work takes all the rust and corrosion off before sealing it up tight.

You are right though, it's not worth attempting yourself when you look at the time/energy it takes to do yourself and the lifetime warranty that comes from a reputable shop.

I'm going with U-Pol Raptor Liner... My wife's company gets them at wholesale and I can't beat what they've offered her for my truck...

Has anyone used a U-Pol??

I tried the home kit on my old truck and it was coming off just after a couple weeks (Not recommended and a lot of work). I went with Line-X, it only cost me $400 Cdn and it comes with a warranty. I saw the damage the drop-in box did to my brother-in-law truck and he had the line-X done to his vehicle. Your call...

Linex for $425. Got the long distance travel discount of $25. Took 2 hours and I was out the door.

I would do a spray on bed liner much better! I have Rhino Lining in my truck and I love it! It holds up to some serious beatings

Spray in is my top choice. The wife's truck came with an under the rail drop in and it works fine for now but, after time it will rub off the paint and leave the bed susceptible to rust. Color matched spray in is in the works for the near future.

Sorry to hijack joo thread OP.

Here is a dump question. Since I don't put stuff in my bed usually and I'm going to wait about six months or more to get a spray in liner should I just remove the drop in so I don't get rust in her?

I would! Way even take the chance? Take it out and put it on Craigs list, anything you get out of it will seem like a coupon at line-x
