Default '06 Ram 1500 seat recliners,manual

The seat recliners on my recently puchased '06 Ram didn't work. The seats wouldn't recline or even budge. After pulling out the passenger seat and removing both the plasic covers I found nothing out of the ordinary. I figured that maybe they were just stuck. I carefully lubed the mechanisms with seafoam penetrating oil, followed by white lithium grease. Still it wouldn't budge. I then tapped on the mechanisms with a smooth faced hammer. One side started to give , then the other. They were just stuck! I 've now got both sides working, though still not as smoothly as i'd like. This truck has only 16500mi. I guess just sitting around not being used caused the seats to lock in that position. I will be sure to recline the seats once in a while to make sure that doesn't happen again.
