Default Rhino Liner???

i was considering having my rockers sprayed with Rhino Liner... i have friends with Rams that have done this or bought trucks with this done and love it. Thought i would throw it on the table for my friends on the forum before i made a decision. anyone with suggestions or experience in this mod?

I don't have any experience with it, but it sounds like a pretty good idea to me! If I could, I would do my entire exterior.

In talking with the guys here in my neck of the woods that spray both here's what I've gathered: Rhino (and all other low-temp sprays) tend to go on a bit thicker and will 'pool' or 'run' slightly on vertical surfaces. Line-X, Ultimate Xtreme and all other high temp sprays are thinner and cool/set faster so they end up thinner (the contours of the truck/bed/etc... show through better) and look more like heavy-duty paint. I'd recommend doing it. They're a great way to combat rock chips and road tar and are very easy to clean. They tried to convince me to do my rockers and fender flares when I got my bed done (maybe later - I like the Mineral Gray too much right now!). But I'd definitely go with a high temp version like Ultimate Xtreme or Line-X IMHO.

Good luck and be sure to post pics when you're finished (or even before then - If we had to wait until we were all finished we'd never have any pics on this site!!!!).

Line_X can spray anything if the surface has been roughed up, I even saw them spray the white foam packing material, they have sprayed whole jeeps, inside & out, they will even do speaker boxes, here are some bumpers, fenders, etc.
http://www.line-x.com/ImageGallery/index.htm

they also have ways to color match, it costs a bit more, they also have a clear coat

Seen it done too, and the guys loved it, really saved them on their mudding rigs. Barnyard, that's info I never knew about the temps of the spray, ya learn something new everyday.

thanks for the info so far. i had no idea about the temperatures of the sprays either. good to know! i was gonna do black, as its cheaper and i'm gonna buy some blacked out headlights and tail lights after... i was thinking it would look good with those. i also know someone who has a completely rhino lined truck. even the inside. it is greattt. he can literally take out his seats and hose spray the inside! haha it may seem like a little much, but its actually pretty cool. i would never consider doing that to my truck however...

I am glad to see you started a thread on this! Just TWO days ago I mentioned doing mine to my husband! I think I will do mine as well. I already have "battle scars" from the mud playground. I think this is a stellar idea! Great thread starter!
