Default Is a small Ram pickup in the works?

I used to own a Rampage. Kind of like a mini El Camino. I wonder if these would sell in the US?

I hate to say this. The concept is a (cute idea). But I think it might go the way of other small trucks. Subaru baja, brat and even I hate to say it the rampage. They sound neat and look like fun to have around. In real world use they are impractical. Most people who try to use them like a truck and hate them. I hope the best if they bring it to market.

The market for the small trucks is pretty much dominated by the Tacoma. The GM offerings just aren't up to par. With ford out of the picture, it might be nice to bring the Dakota back, but the darn costs for a nicely equipped 4WD small pickup are nearly identical to their full size brothers. I know that's what pushed me into a full size 10 years ago.

If executed properly I would consider one. One built off the Durango/grand Cherokee chassis would work I think. Then a good range of engine options would be available.

If I wanted a small truck I'd buy a Tacoma.

I really liked my Dakota. Had it for 21 years and put over 278K on it, but it was time to let it go. It was a good fit for me. I would probably have gotten another one if Chrysler was still producing them. I did test drive a new Tacoma and a new Tundra, hated them both.

would love to see a jeep p/u with the eco diesel. as stated though, why buy a small p/u when a full size p/u cost the same and mpg isn't drastically different.
