Default Cruise control

My cruise control lever on my 2010 seems to be loose. I know it moves towards the driver to cancell but it seems to have too much free play. For those who have this option, do yours seem that way? Might move 1/8" before it seems to catch.

Thanks

I think that may be "normal" (I know I hate to hear that too) but I've noticed a bit of "play" in mine. At times even turning on the cruise control is hit or miss. I think I'm pressing it in enough but maybe I'm not holding it in long enough. Same with the lane change control, it seems that if I don't hit it just right it doesn't work.

That is a shame. It's those small things that contribute to poor build quality ratings. Hopefully buying a Dodge was not a bad decision.

IMO they should have kept the cruise control with buttons on the steering wheel, like on my '07 Dually.

Keep in mind that Dodge doesn't build every part of a truck in-house and numerous vendors are used. That being said, your problem isn't a common one and your warranty will take care of it for you.

I was driving home from work today and thought about your question, so I checked out my cruise control, and well it does have a little play in it. Maybe 1/8th of an inch.
But after the 1/8th" play it's firm in any direction I move it.
Hope this helps.
Tom

No I don't think it was a bad decision I am still very happy with this truck. You just have to be more deliberate when turning on the cruise control. I think they could have come up with a better location but they put it where they put it. My big complaint is with the Uconnect and my phone but again I'm happy with the truck.

Its loose because if your like me you keep hitting it. I wish it was on the turn signal or the wheel. It would been more accessable
