Without good air in and good air out, the programmer won't net you much performance. The basic mods of intake, exhaust and programmer work together to produce more power and improve efficiency of your engine. If you are missing one of the sides of that triangle, you are reducing the effect of the other two.

I agree with MADDOG of doing those mods first before the programmer.

Would you do mods from manifolds back, or start with headers? There are so many kinds of headers, what is the best and CHEAPEST.

You wouldn't necessarily have to start with headers, but if your doing new exhaust you might as well. I am not sure on brands but have heard the ebay ones are thinnier than if you spend a little bit more money.
I myself just have a cat-back at the moment, but would eventually like to add headers.

One choice gets you more low end power and the other, high end power. Lol, I just can't remember which is which. I THINK the long tubes increase low to midrange power but you might want to research first.
