Default 95 Ram 1500 Laramie SLT Dome Lights Not Coming On?

I just got the truck last week and the dome lights were working. I had to fix the wiring on the stereo that the P.O. had messed up. Then a day or two later my dome lights wont come on with the lights switch. I think the switch may be the problem bc no fuses are blown. The switch feels a little weird when you turn it to the dome light on position.

Any advice?

When your headlights are on can you change the dim for the dash lights? If so maybe the bulbs went out. If not then probably something in the switch

You can hook a meter up to the bulbs and check to see if they are getting juice, if not I would try a new switch.

ok thanks I'm going up to a town about 130 miles north to pick up a new door bc the latch mechanism has bent in and the door won't latch all the way. I can bend it out but it keeps bending back. I found a guy on craigslist who has one for $30 so I'll probably pick one up from him since he's parting the whole truck out. Unfortunately it was wrecked on the front end so I can't get the grill off him.
