Ok, I'm sold! Those sure help the sport not look so much like a car! I really feel the need for a leveling kit and some 305-55's soon too. Thanks for the great pics/write up!

Good article on why having the right tools and straps and good attachment points is critical.

If you are pulling someone out, be careful. I have seen "tow straps" break. Thankfully no one was hurt, but a damaged vehicle was the least of our worries when it happened. It could kill you. I saw a heavy log chain snap while a caterpillar was pulling a dead tree, and the chain went through the windshield. Thankfully, aside from some glass in his lap, the operator was unharmed.

I can't say it enough, be careful. Get a GOOD strap, it will probably cost you $50, but it is well worth it. Use Clevis shackles with screw in shanks rated for more than the breaking strength of the strap if you have to join two straps together.

Thanks for the writeup. I just got my tow hooks in today but they didn't come with either large tow hook bolts that attach at the end.

What size do I need to get for the install?

TIA

Sorry, those bolts came with mine however I'm not sure of the size. The dealer should know as they are a stock item on some models.

Did a search last night and came up with M12 x 55mm x 1.5 pitch.

I ordered a package of 5 from McMaster-Carr. I'll let you know when they arrive if those tow bolts work.

Yes - they worked perfectly.

Might have been a little easier had they been included with my ebay tow hooks but you get what you pay for.
