Default Custom exhaust question

Hello all Im new to the forum and I just bought a brand new 2010 4x4 1500 4 door with the stock dual exhaust system and a hemi. I was wondering what I should do with the exhaust, I really like the way it looks right now and Im from louisiana so I don't care about the cat converter so is there a way to get a exhaust with no cats just a muffler or will these new engines freak out....

thanks
Justin

If you remove the cat you will void your warranty....

I think removing the cats will be ok. Just make sure yoiur 02 sensors have somewhere to go, so your computer doesn't go freaky on you

you will throw cat codes if you delete or gut them...you can fool the O2 sensors so it doesn't throw codes...but cat efficiency codes will not affect performance whatsoever..

Not having a cat will create a code. There are O2 simulators out there that go into a welded bung to simulate an O2 sensor. Some folks are successful with these, some aren't. I think it's because they either are compatible with the vehicles computer or they aren't.

Go with high flow cats and the dual outlet catback of your choice.

Do you have a cold air intake?

I have a 2010 2500.I put a Mopar high performance exaust and a mopar cold air intake. The exaust really sounds good and it runs very well.
