Default Drivers Window Dead

2002 Dodge Ram 2500 w/small reverse hinged doors in back and cummins.
I rolled down my window and it wouldn't go back up. No clicks or noises of any kind when hitting the control. The buttons still light up at nite and the passenger side works fine. I have the panel off but there are a lot of wires and I don't have a schematic. I looked in the owners manual but couldn't find anything for window fuses or breakers. Help.

Sounds like the motor may be dead.

Motor does not make a sound. Without a schematic I don't know which lead brings the power to the drivers window switch and which one brings it from the switch to the motor. Can anybody provide the color code of the window harness?

An update.
I took the door apart and although I still don't know the color code at the switch, the motor only has 2 wires so I pulled that connector. Looking back towards the switch I get 12v & ground when the switch is activated one way, and the polarity reverses when switched the other way. This appears to be OK. I then took some wire and jumped 12V & ground right to the motor plug and it made a slight noise but didn't turn. Same result when reversed. Next I took the whole regulator out of the door and jumped the motor again with same result. When I took the motor out of the actuator (it jumped off the workbench like a bear trap from the huge spring) I took it back outside & plugged it in. It seems to work fine ??? Another weird thing-there are no limit switches on the motor, so it will run indefinitely in either direction untill you release the switch. It must have a current sensor someplace (probably in the switch which seems a lot more complicated than it needs to be) that senses the spike at the end of travel and shuts down the motor. Now, where the heck am I? The regulator seems fine, the motor seems fine, and the switch seems fine??? Anybody have any ideas or the name of a good exorcist?

you might have simply had a bad/ loose connection and when you put everything back together or corrected that.

hope it continues to work

When I took the complete regulator (including motor) out of the truck in one piece, I ran jumpers directly to the motor from the batts and it was jammed. Upon taking the motor out of the regulator, I again ran the jumpers to the motor and it seems to work fine. I then plugged the motor back in to the truck wiring harness and it worked perfectly from the switch. The regulator doesn't seem to be binding, at least when it's out of the truck. I hate to buy a motor for nothing and I'd hate to put it back together and have it stop again. I was gonna take the motor off the gearbox to check the brushes and commutator but it's a stamped sealed affair with no apparent brush access. I guess I'll have to try putting it back together first before buying a motor.

Chances are the motor was just stuck and removing it freed it up. Could have been something as simple as a brush in the motor hanging up.

After putiing this this together & taking it apart numerous times, I ordered a motor. Everything works fine untill you run the regulator to the stop then the motor won't restart. I drilled the rack and put a temporary stop in a different place and the motor still won't restart from stopping in the new location. There desn't seem anyway to service the motor, all stamped housing and the leads are epoxied in. We'll see what happens with the new motor installed, should be here in a cupla days.
