Default K&N Cold Air Intake and Spark Plug Change

Well, I finally got some time to install the CAI. I went with the K&N series 77 intake b/c the 63 series wasn't emissions legal here in the great state of NY. The install went very smooth, as the instructions were great! Took about an hour or so. I was really surprised how loud it was when I got on the pedal thet first time (my wife almost had a heart attack ) Great sound. Obviously, I don't have any long-term impressions yet. It feels like the throttle response is a little better though.

I also changed out the spark plugs, which was a real pain in the a$$! That took about 4 hours and a whole bunch of high blood pressure It wasn't really that hard, but three of the cylinders were a little tough to get to. I'm glad I changed them, it felt like the plugs were starting to sieze up a bit. Thankfully none of them stripped the threads or snapped off I went with the NGK platinums.

Here's some pics:

Looks great!

Glad the plug change went well. I was just viewing a thread on another forum where a guy snapped one off in the block of his 5.7L Dodge Magnum.

Did you use some anti-seize on the plug threads?

A couple of good mods, and like the others said, hope you're enjoying the extra HP.

The cold air intake was pretty easy. Probably took 45 minutes to an hour. The instructions were great, made it very easy to follow.
