I get mad when I go to bed watching my 20" nightlight and REALLY want to see the conclusion "coming up next" on Mythbusters or Mike Rowe's Dirty Jobs and I fall asleep! I wake up mad at the sponsors of the ads!

The fore mentioned game is Heroes Over Europe on PS3, it's a flying sim based on many of the battles in Europe during the middle to latter parts of WWII. There is a mission where you've got to find the spy flying in a formation of bombers (who also happens to be shooting them down) before time runs out. I know I struggled with it for awhile before deciding to put it aside for awhile.

I'll typically pop a couple Benedryl when I need to sleep during the day. I'll also sometimes take a couple "Alteril" it's a newish sleep aid that was sold at GNC but you can now also get it at CVS (it's got L-Trytophan, GABA, Melatonin, Chamomile flower extract, and a few other make you sleepy type things). I tend to almost fall asleep soon after taking this "combo", but as soon as I lay down the random thoughts abound!

Sometimes I'd like nothing better than to just sit down and get a good drunk on. I can't risk even a single drink when I'm on call, I can guess when I'm going to work, but I'm wrong more often than I'm correct. It's just not worth it. A single drink can get me a nine month suspension, followed by alcohol abuse counseling...

This has been a pretty wild week. Three separate co-workers were involved in fatality "incidents" on the tracks this week. One was a pedestrian, and two were train vs. automobile (the train won each contest). They're handling the situation, but we all tend to play the "what if" game. There are so many variables involved that we wonder if we'd been 5 seconds later getting there, or 5 seconds later.... would it have made a difference?

Thanks everyone. I'm pretty much just venting, and trying to displace my daily random thoughts. I'll be heading off to bed now, and will probably be thinking about the up coming 2 or 3 days that I'll soon be off. If I work tonight I'll be off for 3 days, if I don't work until after midnight, then I'll be off for 2 (Friday and Saturday).... it has to do with the federally mandated rest days associated with our hours of service law (it's a lot like the max hrs that a truck driver can be on the road, but yet entirely different LOL) and the fact that I'm taking Friday and Saturday off regardless.

too tired to make sense...
