I have read alot about flowmasters being too loud and rotting out prematurely, which I am trying to avoid. I just need to stick to the old saying "chit or get off the pot" and pick one. It's just hard when there are so many choices and such little knowledge on my part. At least I've leaned a crapload of info since joining here. I think my wife is sick of me showing her photos of different mods on other Rams. Although she did like the looks of the srt ram air hood I am going for one of those in the future, since my stock hood has 2 dings in it fron a tree limb hitting it.

I show my wife some stuff from time to time as well, but only after I have decided on something and it's on the truck.

Sorry Bones, I just made a quick video for you, but for some reason there is no sound I'll see if I can get my hands on someone else's camera.

Maddog you got really nice tips too!

I have a flowmaster SI/DO with rolled stainless tips, i think it is a flowmaster super 44, only from clips on youtube as it was already isntalled when i bought the truck! i find it sounds awesome especially under hard acceleration! i dont find it that loud in the cab either but i dont mind it either....

Is there really that noticable difference in a magnaflow compared to a flowmaster?
i think each app is different...but the quickest I've ever run with a flow 50 was 13.8x...only when I switched to mags that my times dropped even further..

Man I got a lot to learn.

Here in NYC... When you hear exhausts like these... I mean... there's no real open stretches of road in NYC to see someone take off and open em up. So you see them sitting at a light with the exhaust sounding all husky. You think damn... that guy got a problem with his ride... meanwhile thats not the case.

I cant wait to get my Laramie to start playing around with things.

Thanks for the posts!!

Tim

Thats funny But until I am finished with school and bringing in some cash, the Ram is hostage to the funds at hand..I could go and do stuff and tell her after but this would be the result

Thanks for the input chefred!!

I will deff be thinking about magnaflows if i ever decide to do anything with my exhaust...but seeing as i already have a nice sounding exhaust it will not take priority!

I hear ya..I ran flow 50's for a couple years and did other mods and when I had everything i wanted installed...i revisited my exhaust an cai.. same went for my traction bars, I first started with spring clamps, then the universal lakewoods, then the moes, then caltracs (waited for a killer deal from someone who bought but never installed)
