Yeah i got the magnaflow 18'' with the resonators removed and it sounds mean. Not too loud at idle but you definitely know there is an exhaust under there. When you get on it heads def turn to see whats rumbling down the road.

how it exits is key... if it's dumped before axle or run all the way back and exits with a tip, it will drone...if it is dumped over the axle, virtually no drone at all..I've had guys do this a couldn't believe the results, they thought they had to change the muffler but it's the resonance of the piping that causes drone..

is there any noticible cabin resonance with the Magnaflow 2.5" tail sections? any particular RPM range where it is annoying for example? I'm used to pretty loud cars/exhausts but don't want to pull the rear resonators off if it makes it uncomfortable for passengers.

Thanks again for all the feedback/help.

Default Finally got my new Magnaflow

Hey all, I just got back from the muffler shop and finally have my new Magnaflow on. They told me to leave the resonators on for a few weeks to a month to decide if I am happy with the sound. I was surprised at first at how it sounded on start up. It still sounded stock with a bit more rumble to it, but he told me I will have a nice surprise when I step on it. Well I pulled out of the parking lot and stepped on it and he was right, I was grinning from ear to ear. It is exactly how I wanted it to be, not to loud at idle but deep and throaty when hitting the gas. I even turned a few heads going by the oil change shop when I stepped on it Yesterday I put on the new chrome door handle covers and am pretty happy with how it looks. I was able to get a quick wash in today so it is clean but not polished yet. I kept the exit in the stock position and chose a nice smoked color stainless tip. Never saw tips that were smoked so I'm happy I got something you dont always see everyday.
