Yeah.. i have a 06.5 duramax. Black smoke is just un-burnt fuel. Nitrous is an oxidizer. so more or less im spraying more air into the mix allowing more fuel to burn, and thus equaling less smoke.

I ran a 125 shot on my 07 silverado vortec max. Probably put 20 bottles through it and not one problem. I took it off and put it on a buddys 07 F-150 5.4 same 125 shot and threw a rod in less than a bottle.

LS motors are the shit. Almost bought a Silverado just because I've been wanting to play w/ a LS motor.

Great times guys. Out of curiosity which slick are you running? I'll need something when I head back to the track and not really sure if I want to run ET Streets or a full slick. Not to worry about breaking hard parts, I'm built to handle it I'm just not so sure if I want to put them on at home and drive up (~45 miles to Little River, still have to put them on at the track if I go to SAR) or if I'll gain that much extra with a full slick.

Most of the time I go to the track alone so leaving my "stuff" always worries me, therefore i travel light, but still thinking I may do a full slick.

both Chris and I are running 28" Hoosier Slicks (on 17's)...need to dial in the suspension though, even with slicks I spun hard... here's my 12.38 run on a 125 shot.. 1st truck, 1st run...

xdodgex24 if you didnt change the fuel jet for you buddies f150 thats why it blew. ford fuel system puts out a lower psi than chevy. for instance if i can remember this right a a 36lb ford fuel injector installed in a chevy is actually along the lines of a 42lb injector so you ran the motor lean as shit.

also whats the most juice anyone has ever put on a stock hemi and it took it? i know of a silverado 5.3 that was full bolt on 250 shot (it was tuned for nitrous though) and i took a full bottle the guy had a new motor ready to go in and figured hed have sum fun n see what it could take. hada put a 300 shot on it to finish it off

Fast Freddie that's a really good run you pulled off there. What did you do to your suspension to dial it in? Softer springs for better weight transfer? so far I've been able to get away with the airbags out back with a mild amount of air in them, 15-20lbs, to help with weight transfer before it gets to the springs.

I'm still working on dialin it in...pulled front swaybar for better weight transfer, preloaded the caltracs bars...and installed drag shocks...i only set them to the middle settlings but still spun, next time out I'm going to set the shocks all the way to the end (best weight transfer), if the slicks don't spin I'll slowly adjust it back..
