Not sure, but I think propane is just a diesel boost thing. Like NOS is for gas.

Wow, first to me. But I am new to the diesel world. Hang tight a bit and a more knowledgable member will chime in. I will be following this thread though, THAT'S FOR SURE!!!! I am just as curious now.

here in the UK

i run mi 5.7 hemi on LPG (liquid propane gas same as what comes in camping gas bottles)
its a prins sequential multi port injection system which i have fitted

http://www.prinsautogasuk.co.uk/

cost me £2300 (approx $3500) 4 years ago for the system fitting,
but it paid for itself in 10,000 miles
starts on petrol then it switches over to lpg when temp get to 31C
for us here in the UK it 1/2 price fuel compared to petrol/gas
performance wise ,carnt tell on the road
at dragraceing track its nearly 1/4 sec & 2mph slower over 1/4 mile
but for us here in the UK it 1/2 price fuel compared to petrol/gas,so i can live with that
300 mile run towing small camper

what use to cost £118 petrol/gas (approx $175)
same run on LPG about £66 (approx $100)

Thats pretty cool! I know what you mean in Europe gas is really expensive, thats why it is mostley diessel there.

That propane injection would be for diesel engines since it reacts with the diesel to form a bigger explosion in the motor. I do not think it will give you performance with the gas engine as shown above
