Default 2nd Rainstorm... Dodge Still Not Waterproof!!!

Well the dealer said he fixed my water leak problem two weeks ago but after another storm last night I woke up to water dripping from the Driver Side A-Pillar again!

Long story short after another day at the dealers they realized the technician from the other week kinked my sunroof drain tube. They say it's all fixed but we will see next week as another storm comes into town.

Question... where is this drain tube? Others on the forum spoke of unclogging their drain tube etc? How can you check if it is clogged?

I might rethink a sunroof next vehicle!

After you get it back, why don't you get a hose and blast water at the sunroof to see if you can get it to leak again?

Might be less water getting in, but it would allow you to find out now, instead of later

I don't see why they didn't just spray the roof and see if they got anything leaking then and there. I know it's not 100%, but it's a lot better than waiting for something to happen. Hope they got it all sealed up.

Exactly... I don't think the dealer was to honest with me the first time. They said they water tested after the first go around and couldn't reproduce the leak after adjusting the door. I wonder if they even bothered checking.

This time they were able to reproduce the leak and saw the drain tube kinked... why they didn't see that first time I don't know...

But I'd really like to know how to check these drain tubes for future problems if anyone can explain where to look.

Thx

The drain tube runs from the edge of the sun roof assembly to the bottom of the door a pilar it should be blue in color they need to make sure it is pushed on to the nipple completely

The process for reproducing a high pressure leak (storm, car wash, etc) is to hit it with a water hose under pressure. Low pressure leaks from mild rain are reproduced by using a hose with no nozzle and allowing it to flow over the suspected area.

There is a RRT for the cab brakelight.
