Default 2010 4x4 Readylift 2" Leveling Kit... and NO Death Wobble!

Well I installed the Readylift 2" Leveling Kit on my 2010 4x4 Laramie Crew... I think it looks great.

I was very concerned about all the comments about the "death wobble" but I couldn't wait any longer and did it. So far so good. I will update the post if anything changes.

I took it by the dealer to compare it to a stock 4x4 and in my opinion looks so much better. I didn't have a camera on me but can go back and take some side-by-side pics if anyone is interested!

I talked to the guys at Ready lift and they said they will do something like 100 trucks then run into 1 that gets the "shake." They also put 4 different kits into one of those trucks and it was the same with each kit. So they said it seems there are a few out there with a built in problem....problem is, you just don't know if its your rig or not. I'm going to give the 2.5 front 1.5 rear a shot and hope it works.

The wobble thing is weird to me. I had a 94 GMC 4x4 that I cranked up the torsion bars on and never had a bit of trouble with the geometry in 2 or 4 wheel driv, and I drove that truck 10 years like that!

My ram has the Truxxx kit and 295/65/20s on it and the only problem is worn out front shocks and lack of aftermarket units. I'm going to put in a couple of steerng stabilizes though to help keep control.

Death wobble is the term used on the 2500-3500 trucks. The 1500 trucks have a wobble when placed in 4x4. The way to tell if you have a problem is to come to a stop and place the truck in 4x4 and take off in a straight line for a short distance and see if you have a wobble.

Default As Promised Pics...

Well I went to the dealership and took some pics... Mine is the Silver Ram with the 2" ReadyLift installed. It's hard to tell with both Ram hoods sloping so much but you can see the big difference in the wheel well area.

I like the stance way better and I put in some pics of my new Amp Research Electric Side Steps!

Did the whole "start from stop in 4 wheel drive" and no "wobble" issues... knock on wood!

I can supposably fit 35's now but that will be down the road.
