Default Mopar rotors

Im in need of rotors and want to know if the ones I can get form the dealer are any good. I can get them at cost (whatever that is) but are they worth it or should I be looking at other brands? One thing I do know is Im going to get a good upgraded pad...Hawk or EBC is what I'm aiming for. I will spend a little more here and there but I'm not racing or towing up and down mountains, I just want a good SAFE rotor that will last and hold up to warping fairly good, have some family trips coming up this summer so safety is my main concern. Thanks

Also, I heard Hawk pads tear up rotors...any truth to that? I had Hawk HPS's on some brembo rotors but didnt have the vehicle more than a year and half so i never checked them, plus they were brembo's and im sure could take some abuse. They always stopped decent, although I got them because the vehicle has a TSB on undersized calipers so i had to upgrade with something good.

OE brake parts are fine but make sure they're not the Value Line if you want OE performance. You can't go wrong with EBC, that's for sure. I use their brake products on my ATV and if you saw how I ride, that would sell you on EBC for sure!

Sounds good to me. Do I just ask for the "top of the line" OE ones then?

I'd purchase cross drilled and slotted rotors. Make sure they're either made in the US or in Canada to ISO specs. Don't buy that cheap ass Taiwan/China/Mexico crap. EBC is great, can't go wrong with them. Can't comment on the Hawk pads though.

I installed new front rotors on my 07 that had 22K because the stock rotors were junk. The truck would shake and vibrate when breaking.
I went to Napa and purchased their premimum rotors and pads and all is good now.
