Default Power slinding rear window question?

Not sure if this is in the right section. My 08 Ram 1500 has the power sliding rear window. When I bought the truck it wouldn't close. Factory warrenty replaced the cable a few weeks ago. Well,,, Now it closes back to the felt molding and stops. Is it suposed to close all the way? Or do you have to manually close it the rest of the way? Also the cable sticks up and you can visually see it, are you suposed to be able to see it? Or is there a piece missing that covers the cable?

Thanks Guys.

It should close all the way, and you should not be able to see the cable. Try lubricating the track a bit..

Sounds more like a defective installation to me. Those things are a bitch to put in.

Thats what I figured. Kinda frustrating, I wish I would have tried it out the day they fixed it. It's just something that I don't think about ever using (and assumed it was fixed.) I'm gonna go back by the dealership today and see what they can do. Thanks.

On a side note, Is there a piece covering the cable?? I can see it in my rear view mirror sticking up above the back seat.

No, but the cable should lay in the track and not be visible. I'm guessing it popped out of the bracket and that's why it's sticking up.
