The dealer did an alignment, cut rotors and balanced the tires. They never changed the pads because the pads were fairly new and the shaking was occurring with the original pads as well.
I never thought of going directly to Chrysler about this since I thought that the dealer could fix it. But it is documented at the dealer prior to the warranty expiration. Thanks Randy, I will try that before spending more money on the problem.

Well I replaced the rotors over the weekend just to see if that would help. No luck still does.

Any updates? I have an 06 slt 4x4 5.7L and Ive had the same brake wobble when hitting the brakes at highway speeds.

Its not the rotors, or pads, or shocks, or outer tierod ends, or alignment, or tires. I just had a safety inspection done and they found nothing.

I had a recall done for front hubs and bearings a couple years ago, it never made a difference. I wonder if they even changed the wheel bearings? or is this a rack and pinion problem?? Im troubleshooting the best I can.

I replaced all of the above items with brand new parts over the last couple years, nothing has made a difference.

Anyone bother to check the runout, thickness variation and variation from parallel on all rotors and what were the numbers?

I also have the same problem, I think this addresses the issue ( Dodge TSB 02-001-07 REV. A ) but not 100% sure. Has anyone had this done and fixed the problem? Thanks

I have this same problem also. My truck shakes so bad around 55mph when you put the brakes on it feels like the front end is going to come apart. I'll be watching this to see what happens. I'd like to get it fixed.

I put new tires and rims on my truck and the problem went away. It looks like my right rear tire had a broken belt in it ( there was a slight bulge on the inside of the tire) I found out that broken belts are common on the goodyear tires and can cause this problem

My father inlaw has a dodge dealer in NJ and me and my dad were having this problem. with my dads dakota the truck needed a balljoint(35k mi) and the rotors need to be turned on the vehicle! there is an issue with the hubs. My 05 ram needed new wheel bearings(50k) and rotors turned on truck. I replaced the hubs since and alls good.
