I picked up a set of 4 slightly used winter snow tires on nice alloy rims that have the TPMS installed in them to use for this winter on my truck. They were off of a 2013 Ram 1500 and my truck is a 2015 Ram 1500.
The TPMS warning light first came on on the dash when I started driving the truck with the different rims and tires, but soon went out. When I checked the information screen for the tire pressure values for the tires they were all blank.
I only drove the truck about 6 kms to see if the computer would read these different tire sensors.
Has anyone experienced a similar issue? Or are the tire sensors specific to the truck year? Someone else said that I need to drive the truck for close to 30 minutes at over 80kms to get a re-set.
Any advise would be appreciated.
