Default stock front door speaker size

Does anybody know what size speaker came stock in the front doors for the 2008 Dodge Ram 1500 with infinity sound system? I put my truck information into crutchfield and it brought up 5 1/4" and 6 1/2" speakers so I don't know which ones to get. The front passanger door speaker blew and the crackling is driving me nuts. Also does anybody know the watts for it? Just want to get a comparable speaker to replace it. Thanks!

The fronts should be 6x9 and the rear should be 5 1/4 on a quad cab

That is correct ^^^ 6x9" speakers in the front doors. They aren't very many watts, which replacement speakers are you considering?

I found some Alpine speakers http://signature.crutchfield.com/s_5...9C.html?tp=105. I was going to get some Infinity but crutchfield says they won't fit? Any recommendations?

Some 6x9" speakers won't fit in the stock cutout. With a simple baffle (or spacer) though, you can make them fit.

I put some Infinity Kappa 6x9s in my front doors and I like them a lot. It's my first upgrade in the sound aspect of modding, but I have no problem recommending them to you

I have the 692.9i speakers in mine. According to Crutchfield, those speakers you linked won't fit your truck.

According to crutchfield my truck takes 5 1/4" or 6 1/2" speakers in my front door but here and everyplace else I read says it has 6x9 speakers in the front door. I agree with everybody else on the 6x9 so I'm going to get an infinity 6x9 and make it fit if I have to.

Good choice! I had a set of Diamond Audio CM3 6x9" that sounded great, but wouldn't fit in the stock opening. A simple 3/4" space fixed the problem. Just make sure you snug the spacer and the speaker very tightly against the sheet metal so it won't interfere with putting the panel back on. You don't want any air leaks around the speaker either.
