Red face New Truck Questions

I just recently bought a new truck. 2008 Dodge Ram 1500 2WD Quad Cab 160.5" ST 4.7 Liter V8 Lone Star Flex Fuel in Brilliant Black Crystal Prl. It was a 1-owner truck but was a smoker
Dealership is going to use ozonator on it Friday.

What can get rid of the smoke smell?? Baking soda and vinegar??

What mods can I add to improve gas mileage?? K&N Air Filter??

What exhaust system should I put on it?? Dual Flowmasters??

Please I am open to any suggestions.

to get the smoke out just give it a good interior detailing and a good febreze(ing) should do it, as far as gas milage....there is a few things that can raise it, but mainly keeping your foot out of the pedal to here that 4.7 Magmun roar, and exhaust is up to you, some like it loud some like it quite, i like performance sounding, somewhat loud but still some tone,

congrats on the truck! I've got an '08 as well!! I've got a SI/DO Flowmaster Super 50 Series on my truck, and it sounds real nice & mellow. I'd say a muffler & and intake will do you good for a little extra mpg's. (only if you don't drive with a lead foot.)

Default New truck

Lots of luck with the new Ram.

Odors? Cloth seats you can get a good detailing place to do the carpets, headliner, and seats and thay should be able to get smell out. Ask them if they will guarantee the smell removal, not a smell cover up.

As far as mods, I feel that the best mod for improved MPGs would be a Non Restrictive exhaust/muffler. A good muffler that is not meant for noise as much as lowering backpressure is good.

Cold Air intakes in my opinion do not really improve mileage more than 1 mpg as a design. They will increase noise levels in the cab though.

Chips/programmers? They are really meant to improve performance rather than MPGS.

These are just my opinions.

If there is a way to raise MPGS on a 4.7, I would love to hear them. I do not want noise, drone, etc. You can message me rather than tie up this thread with non topic stuff, like 1/2 of mine was. Sorry.

Again good luck

What is the difference from the K&N Air charger and the K&N 77 series air filter? And if I buy one of these what are some other accessories I should buy with it as far as replacement filters, etc. If yall know any other filters I should get please feel free to tell me. Also If yall know anything else that would make my 08 black ram better then tell me that too. Thanks!

the previous owner of my newly acquired ram apparently had a dog so i had some dog stank that came out when the cab got warm. I tried febreze and dryer sheets but it didnt work. then some of my customers recommended odoban. that stuff is AWESOME! 1 application and the stank was gone, so i would try for that.
