Red face Under rear seat Sub box build

Hey fellas! Im trying to start a speaker box build for my 06 ram quad cab. I have a 8'' kicker L7 picked out for my sub. Now I just need a box to put it in. Whats the best way to build a good box out of mdf? Im looking for any help what so ever. I think its going to be tough to allow for sub movement and get the right air space. Ive look through a few threads and didnt really see that much that helped. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated!!

a buddy of mine has an 05 1500 and he has 2 l7 10's in a fiberglass box with a wood faceplate. If u know somone with some fiberglassing skills it wont be to expensive. even if u r gona run 1 sub u can get the airspace with a fiberglass enclosure and only use have of the rear floor area.

I would suggest getting a fiberglass mold of the under seat space. This will maximize the amount of room you can get. The best would be to get another one of those subs and do the whole under seat area. This will give you some great bass!!

If not to do the mdf would take a lot of cuts to make circular enclosure to go under the seat. You can make it boxy but you will loose a lot of the air space. If you had a 10" sub it would be easier since there are pre made boxes out there that house 10" subs under the rear seats of the Ram.

I have never made a box before so I guess I can not give you some how to steps. Good luck with everything buddy! I am sure that another member will chime in and give you all the info you are looking for!!!

or you just get a box for the ten and make a ring out of mdf that will fit in the 10 inch hole but will have a hole for the 8 inch sub.
