Default Need a tail light answer.......

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/02-05...Q5fAccessories

I was wondering if these tail lights would work on my 08? It says 02-06 in the description but i have seen 06 rams with the bubbly tails like mine and the smooth "better looking" tails like the 05 and previous. Does anyone know if they are all interchangable or am I up crap creek? These are the only aftermarket tails i like because they look factory but i love the LEDs!!!!! Please give me an answer. All info is greatly appreciated and i thank you in advance for your time and consideration.

The reason they won't be a perfect fit on the 08s would be because of the wiring. They should fit physically, but you'll need to do some wiring modifications. I've seen sets for the 07-08s that will work with no problems

Thanks for the info but i have a question for you. I notice you have a 2" level with cooper tires. What size are your tires, they look really good with your suspension setup.

They are stock size (275/60-20), they're an awesome tire. The only thing is I wish Cooper made more sizes for the Zeons, they're selection is very limited.

I have to agree and say the wiring is a little different. If you get a wiring harness it should solve the problem. They are pretty much the same size but the 07s only have 2 lights and the older tails have 3 lights

Hmm it just looks like there is alot less fender gap then what i have with my truck with stock tires and i have less level then you. I have been on the sylvania website and noticed the differences, this sucks cause i ran into a guy that lives in my neighborhood and he has the smooth tails and i have the bubbly ones and we both want to switch. he wanted to do it tomorow. i think were gonna pull our tails off tomorow and figure it out but im sure if they wont interchange then he wont go for switching but at least ill be able to figure out what i need to do to adapt and then just buy the led tails.

The big difference between the '06 and 07/08 lights is the turn signals. The '06 has the signal in the top, and the brake in the bottom, the '07/08 is one and both bulbs blink when turning.

If you're looking for a smooth light for the '07/08 you can look at Recon and AnzoUSA, they have some good smooth LED lights. I have the Recon ones and I love them.

I did some more searching on ebay and found the ones that will fit my truck, there smooth factory red in color which is what i was and full of leds. i got rearended a couple days about and it put a ding in my bumper, my bedside somehow got pushed slightly out and it bent my hitch down. The estimate came to 1100 and thats the check that state farm is sending me. nice thing is im just getting a new hitch installed and getting my bedside ligned back up for a total of 319 dollars!!! i can live with a ding in my 620 dollar bumper. so i have a little extra cash. so im gonna get some led tails and mopar nerf bars. Then im setting my 5100s at 2 inch raise and i have a set of 305 55 20 Mickey ATZs sitting down at my local Tire shop. It will be a little before i get all this done but when the finished product gets home and detailed ill post all kinds of pics i cant hardly wait. I may end up throwing a block in the back though after the level up front. Depends on how level it is, i would like for it to sit about 1" higher in the rear.

Were you going to get an LED third brake light too? That would set off your rear lighting for sure
