hey guys. just wondering if anyone had changed a wheel bearing lately and had the old one laying around. What I need is the speed sensor that mounts into the hub and runs to a plug that should be inside the fender well. I must have screwed one (or both) of mine up when I put the lift on my truck. Correct me if I'm wrong but the new ones come with new sensors already installed.
If so, maybe we could work something out where I could get you to ship me the whole part and I could take the sensor out here to minimize the chance of damage. Oh, it's a 2005 4x4 1500 Ram by the way. Just let me know what you would have to have for it and maybe we'll work out a deal.
Thanks for reading.

I think I have one bad also. Replaced the ABS Speed sensor on the rear but apparently that wasn't it. Now it is time to see which one in front is bad. They are built into the hub even though there is a bolt on the hub by the sensor. I see them for sale with the wire harness plug. Good luck on your search. If someone knows how to replace just the sensors that would be cool if you could do a write up of How To.

Well yes, you can un-bolt the sensor from the hub and pull them out. There is also a connection up inside the fender that is just like a harness plug. You can buy the sensors by their self, but from an auto parts store, there is only about 5-10 bucks difference b/w them and an entire hub/bearing assembly. Since a new hub comes with a new sensor, I was just looking for an old one that was good when it was replaced to try it before I went out and paid $130 for a new bearing when I don't really need it. Keep an eye out for me!
