Default Better cupholder?

Seems nearly every one of the 2nd gen Rams I've seen has a broken cupholder in the dash, mine included. I started looking around this morning for better holders, and haven't come up with much. I did find the ones that attach to the front of the center console, but like so many others, they put the cup wells right smack next to each other, so that the big (44oz+) cups won't fit without without hitting each other when there is two of them in there....BTDT, and cleaned up the spilled soda after, lol.

Oddly enough, the best solution so far has been a $5 cup holder from Wal-Mart that just wedges between the seats, and has a 2 or 3 inch wide pocket between the cup wells. Works amazingly well, and is stable, but it does encroach on the seating area a bit, making it a bit uncomfortable if you're the larger body type (me and a number of my friends )

Any better options out there?

Welcome urbex, hope you find what you need

i found that both Pepboys & Kragen carry something close to what you need, IF you don't have a full floor console. it is similar to this, but, the the cups are not held too close together & the cup size is adjustable

No console, but I do have two shifters down there (5 speed trans and 4x4).

Of all the problems one can have of owning a vehicle, the cup holders really are crap! I have a 97 and what a dumb place to put a cup holder, not to mention if you pull to hard the thing flies out...

Check out Geno's garage. They have a cup holder set up that just attaches to the front part of your center arm rest. It's the best set up I have seen and it holds big drinks firmly. It fits in the small space at the front of the center console that is left above the seat bottom, (it doesn't hang out over, beyond the seat bottom) and it doesn't bother anything else on the floor or dash.

I have seen a few custom made. Lets see if can explain this?
Flat board or other flat material that slides under center console when down.
top piece is raised to same or near level of top of arm rest. I bought the material to build one but have not made the time yet.
Two or more holes cut out with 3-4inch hole saw. I have several extra seats i will see about taking one apart to build cup holders into the lid.
