Default Heated Towing Mirror

I just put the factory towing mirrors on my 2010 Ram 1500. Can the heated feature be used, and how?? Also can the light be made to work on the mirrors?? Thanks

Wwere your original mirros powered with heat, courtesy and directional signals? if so it should be just plug and play. If not you will need to run the proper wiring.

No, the original mirrors didn't have the heat and courtesy lights. There's 2 plugs on the mirrors and both got plugged in, but what else do I need. Is the heat button between the buttons for the left and right mirror? This isn't something that I absolutely need, but as long as it's there, might as well use it.

If your truck did not have it originally I do not think you will have it by installing mirrors.

You will have to have a button with the mirror defroster to get heated mirrors. It will be a rectangle with heat coming off of it, like the symbol on the miror

I guess I'm out then, I've got the power sliding rear window and no defrost.

I'm now thinking the heat might work, I looked at the window sticker and I had heated mirrors. Now to get the lights to work.
