Default adjust bands or trans flush?

My transmission is acting up on on me. when taking off it seems as though its skipping or not wanting to stay in gear. it will also down shift then shift up randomly when taking off. If i let off the gas right before 1st shifts to second, there is a loud clunk also. This all happens under normal acceleration. if i get on it even just a lil it will shift fine. how do i know if i need to do a trans flush with lucas additive or the bands need adjusted?

just had mine come out the trans shop. it was doing the same exact thing. i put two bottle of good ole lucus and it helped it out. every now and then it will have to go up to about 2500 rpms in second and then let off the gas it shifts. but its rare.

i was having a similar problem, just not as severe and i adjusted the servo bands which seemed to fix the problem. some say they should be adjusted everytime you do tranny service.
