Default Lowering 2009 Quad with Ground Force Kit

I bought a Ground Force lowering kit several months ago and haven't installed it yet. I got a few quotes and most were in the $400 range with an alignment. I'm a decent wrench and wondered if anyone had installed this kit themselves yet? The photo directions looked pretty simple.

Also, do I need spindles to do this correctly? The kit has four new shocks, four new springs, and new urthane bump stops.

Thanks for the help!

That an easy enough kit or should I say one of the easiest trucks to lower. The rear is super easy unbolt the shocks lift the truck up high enough the springs drop out slide the others in pull the bumpstops out by hand no tools needed for the bump stops push the new ones in drop the truck down put the shocks on rear done about a hours work the front is a little more involved but not much more you wont need spindles some people prefer them I have them on my truck some people like springs (wish I would have went with springs) but all in all you have everything you need a good half day taking your time you will be done then drive it to the alignment shop and your good to go. If your a decent wrench you can handle it!!!!

Well im mech. inclined to a certain degree. I had a buddy of mine (mechanic) Help me with mine. He has a lift....Much easier. The rear was a rear flip...more intensive than what you have..(i think). The only thing that i couldnt do on my own was the front. To re and re the front springs we had to split i believe the lower control arm ball joints. BIG TUNNING FORK. That i dont have. He made it look easy. One shock the drivers front had to be heated up to get out. Other than that it went pretty good. I know my description isnt the best but like i said im far from a mechanicI love to learn new things but its always nice to have someone close bye that has the no how and experience............After all was done i find i will need a front end alignment.........No biggy i pretty much figured that anyways.Good luck and i hope some of this helped.
