Default Just watched a video on an SS/T

Did not realize how slow they are stock. I thought they were quick, but, the hp given for that truck isn't really good for it being 4200lbs. It was a 10 second 0-60. Now, I don't have any internal mods done, and I've been getting far less. 7 seconds give or take .3. All I can say is that bolt on's make all the difference in the world.

I've just got headers, exhaust, intake, jet chip (doesn't do much) throttle body spacer, and thats it as far as I know. Maybe tires will make a difference also. But man it makes me feel better about my truck which I think isn't that fast haha. A hemi could probably pull on me quite easy. That'll change

Not to add more disappointment to the mix, but I just tried out the Performance recorder on my Bully Dog tuner a few nights ago, 0-60 was 6.9 seconds and 1/4 mile time was 15.3 at 89mph.

Not bad for the "baby eight"

Just drop in the stoker kit and call it a day.

Oh gosh haha. Not surprised to be honest, because stock your rater at 310hp. We are rated at 245-250 stock haha. No excuses. Come september, I hope to be able to see that number or a bit better! I know it has potential just gotta find the hot spot lol. I'm working out a deal with a friends dad whom has experience with Chevy engines... I'm just using him for the general overlooking of me installing a new camshaft haha. Along with that I'll hopefully be getting the Superchips Tuner and POSSIBLY a new intake manifold depending on how many hours I'll have over summer.

Sounds like a good plan, Alex. Don't be disappointed. Just plan for improvement.

Well, now I have a check engine light... Lol. Dad and i were looking for a current, and it wasn't showing so he pulled the sensor and now it's on. Do I need to get a code reader to get rid of this...I'm sure resetting the battery temp. fixes it if i remember correctly. I know napa does it for free so I'll have to head on down there.

You should be able to reset it by pulling the positive cable on the battery, wait a few minutes, then put it back on.

Oo... the positive? Huh ok I'll try that then. I did the negative cable and it killed it (the light I mean.. Lol) but I thought it would come back after a few.

Either should work. I just pull the positive when I have to do this.

Luckily, I haven't had to for a long, long time.
