Ya, I downloaded the manual today and there is a section in there about training the system. I thought I did that however may not have completed it properly. I will try again and will post the results. I hope it gets better.

Well I've actually had possession of my 2010 now for a couple of days, and went through the U-connect deal.....or should I say No Big Deal!
After spending some time with my wife's Ford with Sync (or is that Stynk?) I was so very ready to deal with the issues. After I started the processes, I was making my first phone call in about 20 seconds....using the voice command. Because I had mentally prepared myself for the fight, it was so disappointing to have everything 'Just Work'. Complete waste of drugs!

I feel for those of you that are having issues, but so far the U-connect has been a dream to work with. I have had not one issue with it not understanding me, every with the windows open. So, as both a Sync user and a U-connect user, I'll take the U-connect any day....Hands Down.

when i first got my Ram, i did the voice training thing, windows all closed, it worked great !!
then i went to the dealership & they disconnected the battery to do something, everything was erased. I tried retraining the voice, windows again closed, it accepted the training. then i tried re-entering the phone book by voice all over again, i thought it accepted it all, but, NO, nothing entered, now i just open my cell phone, click address book & press the number, then i can talk through the UCONNECT with no hassle. with my last vehicle, i just had to pair the phone to the system & it automatically down loaded my whole phone book, it was a PARROT hands free, i loved it. why chrysler made a system that doesn't work 1/2 as well, i'll never know.
i'm going to try it once more

I had the same problem....until I figured it out. My 07 SRT8 Jeep didn't care if you said "call" vs. "dial". The ram does, I have to say "call John Doe Mobile" and it works every time. If I say "dial John Doe Mobile", it says stuff that makes me what to take a hammer to it! Let me know if it works for you, I've been very happy with it once I figured it out.

Nice to know about the Sync system, i've wondered how well it worked. The uconnect works flawlessly for me as well, and i've never trained mine

For my phone, a BB9700, i didn't need to add any numbers to the uconnect, all i have to do is make sure they are in my phone's address book, and then i press the phone button on my mygig, say "Call James Mobile" it confirms the name, I say "Yes" and i'm good.

I'm a bit of a tech person and I personally love uConnect. It does help to train the system. I like the fact that it pulls your phone book over and you don't have to train individual names.

I rarely use the voice activation with my new phone (Android) due to the fact it pulls over my facebook contacts and my gmail contacts. This has pushed my phone to damned near 750 contacts and I don't feel like figuring out how well uconnect will work with it.

Easier to just have bluetooth enabled and wait for someone to call me.
