Default ordered ram 6 mos ago now trade value has lowered

I ordered a ram 6 mos ago now my trade value has decreased (more milage, oldere etc) my truck should be in in a couple of weeks according to dealer -but I heard that a couple of months ago. Is there a customer service number where I might be able to add in an incentive to help off set my trade in.The programs are less now also.Does any one have any ideas? I am in Canada

Usually they will hold the value for your trade that was agreed upon when you ordered the new truck, no matter how long it takes. Concerning the new truck, you get the best offer at the time you place the order however if the incentives are better when you take possession you get the better deal. At least that is always how it has worked for me.

Hey Rooster.

Sorry to hear of your massive delay in getting your truck. RansRAM is absolutely correct. You can renegotiate your deal and take advantage of the offers that are on the table now.

If you have a VIN Number or a VON Number... check out this thread for checking the status... http://www.RamForumZ.com/showthread.php?t=45660

If you follow the instructions you will get to talk to an actual person who can further assist you. I will tell you this... the amount of information they are supposed to provide you is LIMITED... however if you are overly friendly with them they will reveal more info.

Good luck and I hope you get your ride soon.

Tim

It took 12 weeks for my truck to arrive. The entire deal was guaranteed no matter how long it took for the truck to arrive but I did give them a $1,000 deposit to order the truck. Trade-in value was also guaranteed. The good thing is that any new incentives that came out after the order were added to the deal.

Rooster, I think your dealership is trying to play a fast one on you. You trade value should be the same as when you ordered your vehicle. It is their problem that your truck has taken so long, not yours. I was told that you get the better of; the incentive at the time of ordering or the time of delivery. Dealerships are masters of manipulation. Someone should clean up this industry....
